Automatically Remember Bluetooth Codes

Your Bluetooth code is used for pairing and helps keep your phone conversations private.

A Bluetooth device allows you to use your cellphone hands-free. To pair the Bluetooth hands-free device to your phone the first time, you must enter a PIN number provided by the manufacturer. Once the devices are paired, you can create your own PIN to be used to reconnect the devices if either the phone or the Bluetooth becomes disabled. If for security reasons you don't want to use an obvious code such as your birth date, you will have to be able to remember the code you choose. One good technique: repetition.

Instructions

1. Write the word "Bluetooth" on the non-sticky side of 25 to 30 self-adhesive note cards. Turn the cards over and write your Bluetooth code on the back of the card.

2. Stick the note cards where you will see them, wherever you go. Stick them to objects such as the bathroom mirror, refrigerator door, rear-view mirror in your car, inside your wallet, on your computer monitor, above the kitchen sink, on your telephone, inside the refrigerator, on your television, next to your bed and so on.

3. Read the word "Bluetooth" out loud or silently whenever you encounter a sticky note. Turn the card over and read the code, then try to repeat it without looking at the note. If you can recite the code without reading it, discard the note. Repeat this process until you have discarded all of the Bluetooth notes. After writing the code 25 to 30 times, then having to turn the card over to read it every time you encounter a sticky note, your mind will bend to your will and memorize your Bluetooth code.
