History


During the 6th century, craftsmen from France made olive oil soap by combining the ashes from sea plants with olive oil.


Composition


Olive oil is made from tree-ripened olives. To make soap, lye is added as a neutralizer.

Hydroxytyrosol, an antioxidant found only in olive oil, provides anti-inflammatory effects to help heal skin abrasions, rashes and even sunburn. It is also non-greasy and will not clog pores, helping those with acne.
