Make Frozen Yogurt Without A Machine

Make Frozen Yogurt Without a Machine

Frozen yogurt has been a favorite dessert all over the world since the 1970s. Frozen yogurt has grown in popularity as people became more health conscious. Back in the the 1980s Dannon introduced "Danny's Frozen Yogurt" on a stick and now it comes in many flavors at your grocery store and ice cream parlor. Frozen yogurt is usually a time consuming process involving an ice cream machine. This recipe will let you make it at home in your blender. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Put 1 cup of water, 2 cups of plain yogurt and 1 cup of frozen strawberries into your blender. Blend thoroughly on the highest setting. You may need to stop, unplug the blender and stir the ingredients to free the blades occasionally if the batch freezes up.

2. Add 2 cups plain yogurt, 1 cup frozen strawberries and 1 cup of strawberry syrup to the blender. Blend thoroughly on the highest setting. Again, stop, unplug the blender and stir the ingredients to free the blades if the batch freezes up.

3. Add more water to thin out the mix. When you have achieved a good blend slowly add a few pieces of ice at a time until the blender is full and you have reached the desired consistency.

4. Serve your frozen yogurt straight from the blender, or put it into an airtight container and store it in the freezer.
