Because natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables are unprocessed and rich in fiber and nutrients, a diet high in fruits and vegetables will ensure that your body gets the small amount of sugar it needs while providing you with far more health benefits than refined sugar. Be wary of certain sweeteners claiming to be natural sugars, like Agave syrup, for while they may boast of low glycemic index scores, they lack the health advantages of fruits and vegetables and can still contribute to your risk of developing dangerous health conditions.
