Get A Rich Flavored Chicken

Rich and flavorful chicken is the goal of many cooks.

Getting that perfect mixture of tenderness and rich flavor in chicken is the goal of many cooks. The work begins several hours before the actual cooking process, with the use of a good marinade. Utilizing roasting bags and roasting your chicken in the oven is also a great way to ensure that your dish turns out delicious. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Place bone-in chicken pieces in a large bowl. Bone-in chicken yields a much more tender and moist dish than boneless.

2. Place all the ingredients for the marinade (oil, juice, zest, salt, pepper, garlic) into a blender and blend until the garlic is pureed and the liquid is smooth. It should be quite thick and look opaque.

3. Pour the marinade over the chicken pieces, cover, and refrigerate for 4 to 8 hours.

4. Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

.

5. Remove chicken from the fridge and place the pieces in a roasting bag. You can pour excess marinade into the roasting bag for an extra flavor boost. Cut a few small slits in the top for steam to escape.

6. Place the bagged chicken into a ½-inch deep or greater oven pan, and put it into the oven. Roast for 45 to 50 minutes or until the juices run clear.
