CIEE Summer High School Exchange Programs
The CIEE summer programs allow students the time to spend a summer studying and working abroad while immersing themselves in the culture and language of their chosen host country, which can be either Spain, France, China or Japan. Many amenities are included in the program such as: roundtrip airfare, three to four weeks in the country, interactive courses and materials to help you learn the language, accommodations, most meals, cultural and historic excursions. CIEE will also provides you with a host family or center staff who are available to help you with personal and school issues. The summer programs run from June to August and prices vary depending on your the chosen host country.

Nicaragua Summer Exchange Program
If you are interested in brushing up on your Spanish while studying abroad, you will enjoy the Nicaragua Summer Exchange program. Hosted by Granada, Nicaragua's colonial high school, this program provides you with a four week stay in Granada, Nicaragua where you will participate in the communities many cultural activities. You will truly become immersed in the Latin culture attending daily language sessions and interacting with local high school students through the many Latin dance fiestas, live music shows, soccer games and other cultural events held in this historic community. As of May 24th 2010, the program runs from June 13th to July 10th and July 11th to August 7th and the cost is $3,950. This price includes a host family for the student, chaperoned round-trip air fare, overseas health insurance, all language sessions, cultural events and excursions.

AFS Intercultural Summer Programs
AFS is a summer program that offers students 3 to 7 week excursions through several countries across the globe from June through July. The programs specializes in experiential learning and offer you the opportunity to attend formal language classes while living with a host family that will assist you in learning the language and embracing the culture. Some of the places you can visit include: Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Italy and New Zealand. Costs for the program range from $6,250 to $7,500, depending on your chosen program. Scholarships and financial aid is available.
