Make Cookies With Stevia

Using Stevia in your diet is advantageous because it reduce the amount of sugar that you consume. Baking with Stevia can be tricky because it does not have the same properties that sugar does. It cannot soften the batter, add texture, or help with the browning process like sugar. The most important thing to remember is not to use too much. Use the amount given to you in the recipe then taste before adding any more. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Set this bowl to the side.

3. Combine Stevia, egg and vanilla in another bowl with a hand mixer. Add the butter slowly and keep mixing until it is smooth.

4. Stir in the flour mixture 1/4 cup at a time using a wooden spoon.

5. Add in the chocolate chips.

6. Put heaping teaspoons of the batter on your greased baking sheet. Make sure the cookies are 2 inches apart. Bake for 20 minutes.
