Cook Chicken Breast In A Crockpot

Cook Chicken Breast in a Crockpot

Crockpots are an excellent way to cook a delicious, homemade meal without much trouble. A crockpot or slow cooker is a pot that sits in a metal covering that slowly heats up and cooks the food inside the pot. Unlike a stove, the crockpot can sit on a counter or tabletop. The rubber feet protect the surface from heat damage. Cooking main dishes in a crockpot is simple and easy. All you need are the ingredients and a crockpot, and you can create a healthy meal for you and your loved ones. There are many recipes dedicated to crockpot cooking, including chicken breasts, a great dinner choice. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Clean and dry your crockpot. Make sure to thoroughly rinse off any soap and dry it with a clean cloth. Plug it in, but don't turn it on yet.

2. Prepare your chicken breasts by cutting off any extra skin or fat. You may also choose to thin the breasts by butterflying them so they will cook faster. Use your paring knife to cut the chicken breasts in half. Rinse off the breasts and place them in your crockpot.

3. Cut the cream cheese into smaller pieces. You can cube it or slice it, whichever you prefer. Add the cream cheese to your crockpot.

4. Peel and rinse the onion. Chop the onion in half and dice it. Add the diced onion to your crockpot.

5. Add the water, butter, parsley, salt and pepper to the crockpot. Place the lid on the crockpot and turn the heat setting to low. Allow the chicken to cook for eight to 10 hours.
