Make Bbq Hamburgers

BBQ hamburgers are a favorite summer food for many people. The delicious smoky aroma drifts through yards all over the place as grills are fired up every year. While the plain BBQ hamburger is still thought to be a classic, people are trying new ways to dress up it up. With all the different ingredients available, the possibilities for making delicious burgers are endless. The next time you decide to grill BBQ hamburgers, try something new. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Dice the onions and peppers into small pieces. Mix the onions, peppers, egg and salt and pepper in a bowl. Stir together until the egg is well blended. Adding an egg will help to keep the hamburgers moist.

2. Place ground beef in the bowl and mix it all together.

3. Shape the ground beef into patties. The patties can be as flat or thick and as big or small as you want them to be. Flat hamburgers won't take as long to cook through as thick hamburgers.

4. Wait until the grill is ready. When the coals turn white, place the patties on the grill. Wait about 5 minutes and flip the patties over.

5. Pour BBQ sauce on top of the burgers. The BBQ sauce is the finishing touch to a tasty burger. Once on, let the burgers cook for 5 or 6 more minutes.

6. Press the corner of the spatula into the middle of the burgers. If clear juices come out, then the burgers are done. Take them off the grill and eat. If the juices are not clear yet, then let the patties cook for 3 or 4 more minutes. Then check again.
