Make Low Fat Turkey Burgers Juicy And Flavorful

Make the turkey burger flavorful with a few additions.

Eat a healthy low-fat turkey burger that's juicy, full of flavor, and tastes better than a beef hamburger. It's quick and easy when you start with the lowest fat option for ground turkey -- the ground breast. While other parts of the turkey are more moist, they are also higher in fat. Once you have the turkey patties made, cook carefully to avoid drying out the burgers. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Mince the garlic and slice the onion and bell pepper into thin slices with a sharp knife. Set the onion and pepper slices aside.

2. Mix the turkey, fresh ground pepper, garlic, egg white, chicken stock and Parmesan cheese together in a bowl with your hands.

3. Heat the skillet or grill and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

4. Pat the turkey burger mixture into inch-thick patties. Place in the hot skillet or on the grill. Cook them until they're no longer pink in the middle, or when their internal temperature reads 165 degrees F as read by a food thermometer.

5. Place the onions and bell peppers atop your burger. Enjoy with a toasted whole wheat bun and low fat mayo and sliced tomatoes.
