Imperial Acrobats of China

Seven Chinese female acrobats, dressed as fairies, perform dazzling stunts in the Imperial Acrobats of China show. The troupe performs acts such as riding a bicycle while standing on a seat or juggling a large spool that is whirled on a string tied to two sticks. The spool, called a diabolo, is tossed high into the air and caught. The act is a crowd favorite because of its precise choreography. The bicycle act is a feat of physical performance as the acrobats ride in unison on only the back wheel. With arms intertwined, they stand on the seats while continuing to bike around the stage. The acrobats then flip through the air from the shoulders of one woman to the next. Two other acts also performed are the foot juggling and unicycle acts. Each show lasts approximately one hour. The performances are a part of Circus Circus' permanent shows and can be seen free of charge at the casino's Midway Stage on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
