Keep Crackers Fresh

Crackers or any other bread-type food items are prone to getting soggy once the package is opened. Once crackers get soggy, they usually don't have the same appeal as they did when they were first purchased. You can attempt to revive your crackers by cooking them in a 300 degree oven for five minutes, but there is no guarentee that they will return to their original quality. To combat the soggy texture, you need to take steps to ensure the crisp texture of your crackers is maintained. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. After opening your crackers, place them immediately in a sealable plastic bag. Make sure you gently press out as much air as you can from the bag before you seal the bag. Your crackers can stay crunchy for at last one week using this method.

2. Place your opened crackers in a vacuum bag. Turn on the vacuum sealer and remove as much air as you can without crushing the crackers. Crackers should stay fresh for weeks or months using this method.

3. Place your opened box of crackers in a bread keeper. Bread keepers keep bread fresh and sometimes help keep opened boxes of crackers fresh. The opened box should last almost one week with this method.
