Rv Parks In Salem Or

Salem, the capital of Oregon, lies at the center of the Willamette River Valley, less than 50 miles south of Portland. With a population of roughly 150,000, Salem is the Beaver State's second largest city. The area was settled in 1841 by Jason Lee and other Methodist missionaries, and named and extablished as a townsite in 1851, according to the Salem Visitor Center website. RVers who plan a visit to Salem and the lush countryside that surrounds it can select from several RV parks to use as a base for exploring the region.
