An acai berry is grown in Central and South America and is rich in antioxidants. Acai berries are often sold online as a weight loss supplement, but numerous acai berry subscriptions are scams. Some subscriptions may be sold with a free trial period, then charged to the subscriber on a monthly basis. If you decide to cancel your subscription, you may find it difficult to contact the company to end your payments. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
1. Call customer service at the company that sells your acai berry subscription. Some companies are difficult to contact and may be reluctant to cancel your subscription. You may need to call repeatedly before getting in touch with someone to cancel your subscription. If a representative tells you that your subscription is cancelled, check your credit card statement often to make sure the company does not charge your card again.
2. Call your credit card company to cancel payments to the acai berry company if you are unable to cancel your subscription. Your credit card company likely will not refund past subscription charges, but it can stop future charges.
3. Cancel your credit card if your card is charged again for a monthly subscription. Canceling your card is a last resort, but it may be the only way to fully cancel your subscription from an acai berry scam. You will still be responsible for paying any charges applied prior to the date of cancellation of the card.
