The flavors of thyme, butter and wine complement sliced turkey breasts.
Roasted turkey breast slices can be prepared and either served as a main course or stored for later use in casseroles or fajitas. Turkey breasts are also great for people who don't feel like cooking a whole turkey. Most of the ingredients needed to roast turkey breast slices are probably already in your pantry. Prep time will vary, depending on whether your turkey breast is thawed. Assuming it is thawed, prep time is approximately 40 minutes. Add this to my Recipe Box.
Instructions
1. Thaw your turkey breast if necessary. Thawing times will vary depending upon the size of your breast.
2. Place your turkey breast on a cutting board and slice the breast meat away from the bone with a sharp knife. Slice the breast meat into thin, even slices, cutting down as you go.
3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
4. Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil to the cast-iron skillet and turn stove on medium-high. Add turkey breasts and the cap full of liquid smoke to the skillet. Turn the fire to medium and cook the breasts until they are lightly browned.
5. In a bowl, add the wine, butter, salt, pepper, thyme and garlic powder. Put bowl in microwave and cook for 30 seconds until butter is melted. Stir with a spoon.
6. Transfer the cooked turkey breast slices into a roasting pan. Drizzle the butter-wine mixture onto the breasts. Heat in oven for 35 minutes.
